One pub, the Vale of Aeron, was reportedly a favourite watering hole of Dylan Thomas when he lived in nearby Talsarn in the 1940s.〔Thomas, David N: ''Dylan Thomas: A Farm, Two Mansions and a Bungalow'' Seren 2000.
